PURPOSE:

Not only is this sale a great Community Service Event but the $5000+ raised from the sale will be distributed to the Back To School Store as well as Brown County agencies that focus on enriching the lives of the children of Brown County through our Community Gifts program.   Click here for more information on Service League’s Community Gifts.

HISTORY:

The 69-year history of this event began with The Rummage Shop, staffed by Service League volunteers, which opened in a dressing room of the Orpheum Theater in 1935. Monthly sales were held throughout Green Bay until 1979 when Service League consolidated its efforts into two seasonal events. In 1996, these two rummage sales were combined into what is now an annual fall event.

All items for sale have been donated by current and former Service League members.

2007 HIGHLIGHTS:

Thanks to you we were able to sell over 8,000 items in 2007 at $0.50 and over 300 at $3.00.  Our goal is to put new or lightly used clothing and house wares into the hands of people that can benefit from decent clothing at ridiculously low prices.  All items are donated by current Service League members and our generous Service League Associates .
