Community Gifts

In January 2010, Service League of Green Bay was proud to distribute financial gifts totaling $25,000 to the community agencies listed below. 

Gifts were awarded that addressed critical care and enrichment needs for the children of Brown County.

Brown County Library

Support of Brown County Library’s 2010 Summer Reading Program for children (PreK-5th grade), Providing a book for each child

CASA of Brown County, Inc.

Recruit, screen, train and supervise volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in Brown County. 

Center for Childhood Safety

Safety programming including bike helmet safety, car seat safety, Safety Town

Children's Promise

Support bully prevention training for bus drivers and classroom facilitators, ensuring students make non-violent choices

Encompass Early Education

Support of the Encompass De Pere Center Expansion

Family Services Sexual Assault Center

Provide a comprehensive child abuse prevention education to at-risk preschool children.

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin (formerly America’s Second Harvest)

Provide approximately 5,000 meals for children at two Boys & Girls Clubs—most often their only hot meal of the day.

Green Bay West High Special Education

Support the special education math department by providing an overhead calculator and view screen kit, allowing visual demonstration of correct use in a math lesson.

Howe Neighborhood Family Resource Center

Support for a parent educator, who will conduct parenting classes, home visits and parent support with at-risk families, targeting pre-natal through 5 years.

Love Life Ministry

Provide approximately 325 low-income families with diapers.

Salvation Army, Shoe & Boot Program

please view our Information Sheet and Proposal Form.

Applications will be accepted during the period of June 1st-October 1st each year.

All applications must be postmarked by October 1st (no exceptions).
